Leaders from the Shenzhen Institute of CPAs and China Comprehensive Development Institute visited Pengsheng for research and exchanges.

On September 16, Xu Haizhong, Assistant to the Secretary General and Director of the Industry Development Department of the Shenzhen Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Zhang Qiqi from the Industry Development Department, Zheng Xin, Director of the Innovation and Industry Research Center of the China Development Institute (Shenzhen), Liu Fei, Principal Researcher, and Song Chaoming, Project Researcher, visited Pengsheng for research and discussion. Pengsheng's Managing Partner Yuan Zuliang, Head of Pengsheng International Li Feng, Assistant to the Chairman Zhao Yaqi, and Director of the Registration Management Department Su Caiyan attended the symposium, jointly offering suggestions and ideas for industry development.

During the symposium, both sides engaged in detailed discussions around six core topics, with a warm and pragmatic atmosphere. In the segment introducing the firm's basic situation, Pengsheng provided a detailed account of its revenue scale, staffing, and development trends in recent years. Regarding the firm's business operations, they conducted an in‑depth analysis of the current state of traditional audit services, and shared key findings and future plans in ESG services, 'going global' services, and other emerging business areas. Subsequently, concerning the firm's establishment of branches in other regions, Pengsheng introduced the strategic considerations, operating models, and achieved results of its branch network, providing vivid case studies for the research team to understand the regional development layout of the industry. In terms of informatisation and intelligent (AI) development, Pengsheng shared its practical experience in technology application, including explorations in audit process optimisation and data analysis using AI, while also discussing the opportunities and challenges brought by technological advancements.

When discussing industry pain points and difficulties, both sides drew on their own experiences to deeply analyse the current challenges facing the industry in talent cultivation and retention, market competition order, and adaptation to regulatory policies, laying the groundwork for subsequent solutions. Finally, focusing on the future development of the industry, especially the direction for local accounting firms, both sides actively offered suggestions and proposed a series of targeted opinions and recommendations, including strengthening industry collaboration, enhancing the core competitiveness of local firms, and optimising the policy support environment.

This research and discussion symposium not only enhanced communication and understanding between the Shenzhen Institute of CPAs, the China Development Institute, and Pengsheng, but also pooled wisdom and strength for industry development. In the future, we will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, jointly promoting the high‑quality development of the accounting profession.
